ABSTRACT
Abstract Background: The distribution of ABO and rhesus (Rh) blood groups has been reported to be different in several world populations. There have few studies about among Libyan population. Aims: study aims determine the frequency Rh population Bani Waleed city. Subjects Methods: group had included 344 participants both genders aged between 15 80 years. Blood samples were collected for analysis from September December 2018. Results: percentage male was 55.8% 48.2% female. highest (30.2%) age 23–32 O most common (43.6%), followed by A (31.7%), B (17.7%), finally, AB (7.0%). positive (Rh+) 72.2% negative (Rh−) 23.8%. Moreover, prevalence with Rh+ 33.4%, 27.6%, 11.3%, 4.7% O+, A+, B+, AB+, respectively. Rh− 9.9%, 6.11%, 4.1%, 2.6% O−, B−, A−, AB−, Conclusion: present is ordered > A> majority higher frequencies Rh−. findings this will contribute health services use them as database know detailed information types such bank transfusion also used studies.
