Hormonal profile of some infertile women in bida Nigeria

ABSTRACT
Background and Aim: The desire for reproduction is a basic human instinct, it well known that infertility one of the psychosocial problems affecting many couples worldwide. aim this study to evaluate hormonal profile infertile women in Bida metropolis. Materials Methods: A total 200 individuals comprising 160 40 fertile as controls were recruited into cross-sectional metropolis, Nigeria. Serum luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating (FSH), prolactin (PRL), progesterone, estradiol determined using enzyme immunosorbent assay. Results: Infertile had significantly higher LH PRL level (P < 0.05) statistically lower progesterone when compared women. There was no significant difference FSH > Nonmenstruating (NMW) MW. NMW Hormonal abnormalities observed 83.3% This comprises 30% secondary hypogonadism, 20% hyperprolactinemia/hypogonadism, 13.3% primary hyperestrogenemia, 6.7% hyperprolactinemia. Conclusion: has shown remains major problem childbearing age. It therefore recommended should seek medical care on time determine their status correct any abnormality might have arisen.
