ABSTRACT
The clinical uses of ultrasonography have varied and increased over time, especially the ability ultrasonographic measured parameters to predict outcomes labour. proper understanding association between these parameters, mode delivery, adverse maternal foetal will further improve patient counselling as well planning intrapartum care. The study explored measurement head circumference (HC) cheek-to-cheek diameter (CCD) at term predictors labour outcomes.Eligible pregnant women were recruited from antenatal clinic had obstetric ultrasound scans done with HC CCD measured. Maternal included progress in labour, lacerations, delivery suspected distress. Data analysis was performed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.One hundred thirty-two patients into study. Foetal measurements ≥35 cm closely associated caesarean odds ratio - 2.40 (95% confidence interval 1.02-5.66. P = 0.046). Neither nor CCD/HC predictive modes delivery. occurrence perineal lacerations poor observed more frequently increasing CCD.HC predicting perinatal among parturients. (≥35 cm) is a higher incidence both interventions comparison CCD. dystocia found be linear. did not perform predictor
