ABSTRACT
Tunneling nanotubes are crucial structures for cellular communication and observed in a variety of cell types. Glial cells, the most abundant cells nervous system, play vital role intercellular signaling can show abnormal activation under pathological conditions. Our bibliometric analysis indicated substantial increase research on tunneling over past two decades, highlighting their important communication. This review focuses formation various types glial including astrocytes, microglia, glioma Schwann as well roles cargo transport. We found that influence stability neural system nerve regeneration through nanotubes. facilitate transmission progression diseases by transporting pathogens harmful substances.
