Acute suppurative thyroiditis (AST) leading to thyroid abscess is a quite uncommon clinical entity. Both and AST represent only 0.1%–0.7% of pathologies which may require surgical management. especially affects patients with Hashimoto's or cancer. In children, associated the persistence canal originating from 3rd 4th bronchial pouch that lead recurrent abscess. The left lobe gland more frequently involved. can be life threatening if untreated, resulting in mortality 12% higher.
