ABSTRACT
To evaluate the efficacy of holmium laser enucleation prostate (HoLEP) in patients with a small volume (≤30 mL).We retrospectively evaluated 1,135 who underwent HoLEP at two institutions between July 2007 and March 2020. Patients were not for International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) before or after excluded. We divided into groups according to estimated (ePV): ≤30 (n=198) >30 mL (n=539). The patient characteristics, IPSS, peak urinary flow rate (Qmax), postvoid residual urine (PVR), other data compared surgery each group groups. Multivariate analysis was performed identify factors associated ePV mL.A total 737 included this retrospective study. (23.4 vs. 50 mL; p<0.001) PVR differed significantly IPSS-quality life, PVR, Qmax improved both Improvements Qmax, greater (p<0.001), whereas operation time morcellation shorter group. In multivariate analysis, age <70 years independently improvement by HoLEP.HoLEP is an effective treatment prostate, even though extent those larger prostate.
