ABSTRACT
As an important zoonotic pathogen, Staphylococcus aureus has led to serious mastitis and endometritis in infected dairy cows. In this study, a total of 164 strains S. were isolated from cows Xinjiang Province, China, subjected assays determine drug susceptibility biofilm (BF) formation ability. Enterotoxin-related genes detected, the transcription levels related BF determined by using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Moreover, pathogenicity isolates with different abilities was measuring their hemolysis activity, half lethal dose (LD50) organ bacterial load. The results showed that 86.0% could form BF. Among them, 42.1% had weak ability, most strong ability ica gene carriers. displayed multidrug resistance positively correlated 96.3% carried enterotoxin genes. detection rates novel higher than those conventional Furthermore, LD50 but lower load or no However, without produced more severe pathological changes These findings suggest presence are characteristics such may pose potential threats food safety.
