ABSTRACT
Purpose This descriptive study assessed the current trends in incidence of urological cancers and patient survival Korea. Materials Methods In this nationwide retrospective observational based on data from Korea National Cancer Incidence Database (KNCIDB), analyzed age-standardized rates (ASRs) annual percentage changes (APCs) kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular, penile as well cancer renal pelvis ureter between 1999 2012. The relative (RSRs) were calculated for patients diagnosed 1993 2012 KNCIDB data. Results Prostate was 66,812 individuals followed by bladder (41,549) kidney (36,836) cancers. overall ASR (18.26 per 100,000) increased with age because higher ASRs prostate elderly. highest 40-59-year-old group, whereas testicular occurred most frequently before 40. (overall APC, 6.39%; p < 0.001), except (APC, –2.01%; p=0.05) –0.40%; p=0.25) steadily (5-year RSR, 66.4% 1993-1995 vs. 84.2% 2008-2012; particularly (by 34.10%) 16.30%) cancers, but not (–7.20%).
