ABSTRACT
Background: Congenital bands cause 3 % of all intestinal obstruction and almost always lead to small bowel obstruction.In adults, due is even rarer.Materials methods: A multicenter study in Turkey.From January 2000 December 2010 inclusive -a period 10 years -all adult patients admitted the emergency departments with a clinical diagnosis acute congenital peritoneal band were included study.Surgery was defi ned as emergency.Recorded operative fi ndings site obstruction, procedure relieve it.In present study, reported literature together ten cases operated at four center retrospectively assessed respect their demographic, preoperative, peroperative, postoperative characteristics.Results: There 8 males 2 females aged between 18 72 year.There no history abdominal or inguinal surgery.Plain X-rays radiography revealed air-fl uid levels patients.All ligated divided.On histopathological examination, composed loose connective tissue containing blood vessels.There calcifi cation bands.Conclusion: an anomalous could be differantial obstruction.This situation requires early surgical intervention that will diagnostic therapeutic (Tab. 1, Fig. 4, Ref. 21).
