Analysis of general surgery outpatient clinic admissions and operations during COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey: Reactions of 12728 patients

Covid-19 pandemic is spreading rapidly in Turkey.We aimed to examine the numbers and demographic data of patients who applied general surgery outpatient clinics operated this process.Our primary outcome reveal response pandemic.The fi rst case Turkey has appeared March 11, 2020.Patients were on due a surgical emergency or trauma evaluated separately.Patients 3 periods compared with each other.A total 12728 examined 26 working days.It seen that come clinic after time patient seen.All reduced hospitalization death Covid-19.Women had going hospital earlier than men.There was no change number surgeries.Rapid decrease observed elective surgeries.It not easy control entrance exit these busy hospitals.The remote diagnosis (mail, phone video-call) treatment methods can be expected near future may even closer Corona virus (Tab.3, Fig. 4, Ref. 15).
