ABSTRACT
Aim: Volumetric absorptive microsampler (VAMS) was designed to sample a fixed volume of blood regardless the hematocrit (HCT) levels. Model compounds with wide range hydrophobicity were evaluated for their extraction recoveries from VAMS dried samples. Results: For highly hydrophobic compounds, methanol or methanol/acetonitrile higher compared using aqueous mixture acetonitrile. Extraction (1:1) yielded more consistent recovery across HCT 20–70% than alone, good linearity, accuracy and precision achieved 1 2000 ng/ml. Conclusion: An organic solvent preparation approach developed optimize minimize effect on analysis
