ABSTRACT
Directional cell migration requires polarization and asymmetric distribution of signaling. Focal adhesions microtubules are two systems which essential for these. It was shown that these closely interact with each other. is known microtubule targeting stimulates focal adhesion dissociation. Our recent study shows adhesions, in turn, specifically induce catastrophe via a biochemical mechanism. We were able to track down one the proteins paxillin involved this process. Paxillin phosphorylation previously be key component regulation assembly or disassembly. Since dynamic differs at leading edge rear, similar levels, we suggest model connecting catastrophes sites as feedback loop.
