Maturation and upregulation of functions of murine dendritic cells (DCs) under the influence of purified Aromatic-Turmerone (AR)

ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to evaluate the effects purified aromatic-turmerone(ar-turmerione, AR) on murine dendritic cells (DCs). These impacts AR DCs from bone marrow derived DCs(BMDCs) were assessed with use conventional scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS), transmission (TEM), cytochemistry assay, FITC-dextran, bio-assay and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). We found that induced phenotypic maturation as evidenced by increased expression CD86, CD40, CD83, CD80 major histocompatibility complex II (MHC II). functional tests showed activity acidic phosphatase (ACP) inside downregulated after treatment (which occurs when phagocytosis decreased). Finally, we proved production IL-12 tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α). data suggested could promote adjuvant-like may have potential therapeutic value. It therefore concluded exert positive modulation DCs.
