ABSTRACT
vasculitis, anaphylaxis, 4 ototoxicity, neutropenia, fixed drug eruptions, fever, phlebitis, nephrotoxicity, 5 thrombocytopenia, 6 and, more rarely, Stevens-Johnson or rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome have been reported. 7A recent study conducted at six Korean pharmacovigilance centers (PVCs) reported that antibiotics including vancomycin were the most prevalent causes of ADRs, skin manifestations common in spontaneously ADRs. 8Of 1,418 cases study, 3.1% associated vancomycin.
