ABSTRACT
Determining the culprit allergen is important for diagnosis and management of allergic diseases. The skin prick test (SPT) has been widely used to identify allergens. Skin reactivity allergens changed due changes in lifestyle outdoor environments. Therefore, aim present paper was examine sensitization Korea. We enrolled 1,135 patients with respiratory diseases who were diagnosed at Severance Hospital from January 2010 December 2011. SPTs performed inhalant allergens, compared our previous studies 1980s 1990s. In 2010s, SPT positive rate rhinitis or conjunctivitis higher than asthma without conjunctivitis. decreased by increments age (P value <0.01). tree pollens significantly increased 36.4% 2010s 19.0% 1990s 8.8% 1980s. Among pollens, oak (4.7%->14.4%), birch (7.1%->13.6%), alder (6.3%->13.4%) pine (2.9%->14.3%) 1990s, respectively. Current grass (13.9%) weed (27.0%) since (20.3%, 40.9%, respectively). house dust mites showed no difference between (55.2%) (55.6%). dog (27.3%->20.7%) cockroach (25.3%->12.3%) have comparison light above results, we revealed that occurred Korean over past three decades. Since environmental factors such as amount pollen, global warming plant distribution causes reactivity, further study continuous close observation will be needed.
