ABSTRACT
Proliferation marker Ki-67 is widely used in cancer prognosis prediction. We tried to investigate the role of as a prognostic factor stomach after surgery this study. We retrospectively evaluated 251 patients who underwent curative resection for gastric from 2010 2015. In pathologic examination, labeling index was defined percentage antigen positive cells. Prognostic significance evaluated. Disease-free survival (DFS) assessed primary end-point.The median follow-up period 28.0 months. Thirty-one (12.4%) showed (LI) lower than 25%. Sixty-eight (26.6%) recurrence during period. Recurrence associated with LI level (≤25%, P = 0.016), and lymph node metastasis status (P 0.002). High (>25%) also related p53 positivity < 0.001) poorly cohesive type The 3-year DFS 69.4%. Low (≤25%) low (47.6% vs. 72.6%, 0.016). T stage 0.001), N 0.006), lymphovascular invasion 0.010), neuronal affected DFS. addition, 0.03) 0.035) were independent factors treated adjuvant chemotherapy (n 239, 93.4%), poor 0.013).Low predicts high rate progression cancer. can be predictive resected chemotherapy.
