ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine an effective survey method for the accurate calculation of obesity prevalence by comparing self-reported and measured height, weight, body mass index (BMI) using 2018 Korea Community Healthy Survey (CHS) data.Raw data from CHS were used analyze differences, correlation, agreement between BMI.The height was over-reported than (0.59 cm greater men 0.71 women), while weight under-reported (0.55 kg less 0.67 women). Subsequently, BMI under-estimated (0.35 kg/m2 lower 0.49 women) compared with BMI. The kappa statistic values per category (underweight, normal, overweight, obesity) 0.82 79.6%, respectively.The should be calculated provided in order promote local health projects based on evidence.
