ABSTRACT
Organ-on-a-chip allows dynamic microenvironment of the actual organ to be simulated in vitro.In this study, CFD simulation is used investigate behaviors fluid flow and shear stress due effect a transversely deforming membrane caused by cyclic deformation microchannel sidewalls gut-on-a-chip device.The result reveals that varies linearly along length microchannel.The average per cycle approximately three times greater than stationary amplitude frequency also significantly affect behaviors.The highly device could one major factors makes kind more viable traditional static cell culture.
