ABSTRACT
Abstract A joint resource‐optimization scheme is investigated for nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA)‐enhanced scalable video coding (SVC) multicast in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)‐assisted radio‐access networks (RANs). This allows a ground base station and UAVs to simultaneously successive layers SVC with interference cancellation NOMA. quality‐maximization problem formulated as mixed‐integer nonlinear programming determine the UAV deployment association, RAN spectrum allocation groups, transmit power. The optimization decoupled into deployment–association, spectrum‐partition, transmit‐power–control subproblems. heuristic strategy designed association patterns. An upgraded knapsack algorithm developed solve partition, followed by fast power fine‐tuning further boost performance. simulation results confirm that proposed improves average peak signal‐to‐noise ratio, aggregate video‐reception rate, utilization over various baselines.
