ABSTRACT
In this paper, we briefly summarize the problems that have been affecting Slovakian forestry in past, present and are expected future. forests Central Europe were significantly harmed by development of mining, metallurgy, wood processing industry, agriculture grazing sheep cattle. Many areas completely deforested. Fundamental change occurred 18th Century, when regulations about forest management, declared Empress Austro-Hungarian monarchy Maria Therese, came into force. With changing level cover, there as well forestry. Forests Slovakia nowadays dealing with climate change, which is causing extreme weather fluctuations. It connected emergence abiotic disturbances after usually occurs activation biotic harmful agents. We expect most serious problem future will be their state health. an increase representation thermophilic tree species (beech oak) at expense upland trees such spruce. An important role played invasive plants, fungi animals can compete native habitats or situation absence reducents these cause economic environmental damage.
