The Simulation of Surface Charge Accumulation on PMMA with Different Surface Roughness in Vacuum

ABSTRACT
The surface insulation properties of insulating material under DC voltage are closely related to the characteristics charge accumulation, and roughness these materials has a direct impact on distribution in vacuum.Therefore, it is significant study their connection.In this paper, based secondary electron emission avalanche model, accumulation polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) with different was simulated by using particle cell Monte Carlo Collision method.The environment finger shaped electrode vacuum.The results showed that action electric field electrons emitted from cathode triple junction moved forward collided material, which may lead generation or charge.The near mostly negative since effect injection greater than collision ionization.Due change energy influence distribution, number positive insulator gradually increased, reached maximum, then reduced approaching anode.Moreover, when increases coefficient decreases, amount accumulated PMMA will reduce.This paper can provide some guidance for practical application materials.
