ABSTRACT
Background: The trigger finger, also known as stenosing tenosynovitis of the flexor tendon, is a common cause hand disability; This can result in significant limitations certain daily living activities. It possible to treat this condition with conservative or surgical methods. Methods: retrospective, observational, cross-sectional and descriptive study. source population consisted all patients diagnosis finger who had been treated department plastic reconstructive surgery our institution between 2020 2023. primary objective study determine prevalence characterize clinical characteristics affected by hospital. Results: total was 237 patients, which 165 were women (70%) 72 men (30%). most right hand, 158 (67%). In middle (45%). Of 80 them obesity (34%), 86 type 2 diabetes mellitus (36%), 95 systemic arterial hypertension (40%). Open technique performed 190 (80%) while percutaneous 47 (20%) them. Conclusion: female sex twice frequent, thumb affected. Most received treatment open approach 20%
