ABSTRACT
Structured catalysts for the simultaneous removal of soot and nitrogen oxides were prepared by means coating cordierite monoliths with alumina-based suspensions containing Cu, Co or Fe Cs as catalytically active phase. Textural chemical properties coated determined N2-physisorption, SEM temperature programmed reduction. Their activity in NOx was assayed a lab-scale installation, using carbon black diesel surrogate. Catalysts exhibited significant deNOx, however oxidation is poorly enhanced probably due to low NO2 evolution, pointing different adsorption mechanism present case, comparison previous observations on analogous K Ba catalysts.
