ABSTRACT
Background: In Nigeria, adolescents and young people (AYP) aged 10 - 24, comprise 22.3% of the population with HIV prevalence 3.5%. The AYP living enrolled at 68 NARHY, Lagos reflects national challenges poor viral suppression. OTZ program aligns UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals. It seeks to empower AYPLHIV be in charge their treatment commit triple zero outcomes—zero missed appointments, drugs, loads. purpose study was assess impact on load suppression among members adolescent club Lagos. Method: A cross-sectional retrospective evaluate 53 between March 2019 December analyzed. Percentage before enrollment compared 6 12 months after into program. is grouped 14, 15 19, 20 24 years. Activities conducted were peer driven monthly meetings during which interacted issues relating improving outcomes, healthcare workers reviewed clinical status, result, provider counseling, caregivers' engagement support adherence medication ARV refills. Results: Before OTZ, 81% 14 years, 75% 19 25% years virally suppressed (VL less than 1000 copies/ml). Six enrollment, 94% suppressed—95% 96% 66% 20-24 Twelve suppressed—100% 10-14 93% 100% Males' (VL) improved from 79% 92%, while females' VL 69% respectively. Conclusion: activities contributed facility.
