ABSTRACT
The effect of addition metallic carbides Cr3C2 and + VC on structure mechanical properties WC-10 wt% Co nanocomposites have been studied. After preparing compacting the powders under pressure 200 MPa, samples were sintered at temperatures 1370°C, 1410°C 1450°C for 1 hour. Microstructural examinations by SEM show that average grain size obtained added alloys reduced 50 percent also distribution was narrower compared to those without growth inhibitors. Furthermore, co-addition rise a higher Vickers hardness fracture toughness 1410°C.
