ABSTRACT
The genetic diversity and relationship of 42 tomato varieties sourced from different geographic regions was examined with EST-SSR markers. The between 0.18 0.77, a mean 0.49; the polymorphic information content ranged 0.17 to 0.74, 0.45.This indicates fairly high degree among these varieties.Based on cluster analysis using unweighted pair-group method arithmetic average (UPGMA), all fell into 5 groups, no obvious geographical distribution characteristics despite their diverse sources. The principal component (PCA) supported clustering result; however, relationships were more complex in PCA scatterplot than UPGMA dendrogram. This about lines helps distinguish will be useful for variety breeding selection. We confirm that marker system is studying varieties. The polymorphism large number bands obtained per assay shows ©FUNPEC-RP www.funpecrp.com.
