Lack of association between potential prothrombotic genetic risk factors and arterial and venous thrombosis

ABSTRACT
Recent studies have shown an association between thrombosis and factor VII (FVII), tissue (TF), angiotensinconverting enzyme (ACE).This suggests that individuals with FVII-402 G/A, FVII-401 G/T, TF+5466 A/G, ACE-287 insertion/ deletion (I/D) polymorphisms present increased risk of venous thrombosis, heart disease, ischemic stroke compared controls.In this study, we investigated the frequencies these their arterial thrombosis.For G/A polymorphism, there were 57.3% heterozygote (HT) genotypes 8.3% homozygote (HM) in patients, 45.2% HT 15.4% HM controls.For ©FUNPEC-RP www.funpecrp.com.brGenetics Molecular Research 14 (3): 9585-9594 (2015) G/T 37.5% 3.1% 32.7% 4.8% controls.The polymorphism A/G was not found any samples analyzed.For I/D 43 (40.6%)HT 63 (59.4%)HM controls 28 (45.2%)HT 34 (54.8%)HM patients.No significant difference observed by comparing patients no presence evaluated occurrence thrombotic events.
