ABSTRACT
Planarians, which have a large population of stem cells called neoblasts, are molecularly tractable model systems used in the study regeneration. However, planarians strong resistance to hunger and developed growth arrest strategies. For example, they can change their size undergo regression during starvation periods. The results current show that microRNA, miR-71b, insulin/IGF-1 signaling pathway important functions development starvation-induced planarians. We demonstrate tissuespecific expression miR-71b using situ hybridization.By employing real-time polymerase chain reaction, we provide evidence is upregulated planarians.Furthermore, validate verify target genes miR-71b.
