ABSTRACT
Infection by human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the primary causes mortality cancer in northern Brazil.Sexually active women from Manaus, Amazonas, without cytological alterations and with pre-malignant malignant were examined for HPV virus, identified via PCR sequencing.The target region this study was part L1 capsid gene HPV.Twentythree samples that PCR-positive sequenced.Analysis 336 bp demonstrated a high incidence high-risk types population as HPVs 16, 33, 58, 66, 68.HPV type 16 most prevalent, presenting two variants similar to Asian-American (AA) East-Asian (As) variants.A rare 13 related "Heck's disease" also detected.This preliminary provides important information about circulating Amazonas State.
