ABSTRACT
To design a fuzzy expert system to help detect and diagnose the severity of diabetic neuropathy.The research was completed in 2014 consisted two main phases. In first phase, diagnostic parameters were determined based on literature review by investigating specialists' perspectives (n = 8). second 244 medical records related patients who visited an endocrinology metabolism centre during six months primarily diagnosed with neuropathy, used test sensitivity, specificity, accuracy system.The final included duration diabetes, score symptom examination Michigan questionnaire, sign glycolysis haemoglobin level, fasting blood sugar, creatinine, albuminuria. The output variable neuropathy which shown as number between zero 10, had been divided into four categories: absence disease, (the degree severity) mild, moderate, severe. interface designed ASP.Net (Active Server Pages Network Enabled Technology) function tested terms sensitivity (true positive rate) (89%), specificity negative (98%), (a proportion true results, both negative) (93%).The this study can specialists general practitioners disease more quickly improve quality care for patients.
