ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND An increasing number of studies have focused on the role cellular metabolism in development colorectal cancer (CRC). However, no work is currently available to synthesize field through bibliometrics. AIM To analyze “glucose metabolism” (GM), “amino acid (AM), “lipid (LM), and “nucleotide (NM) CRC by visualization. METHODS Articles within abovementioned areas GM, AM, LM NM CRC, which were published from January 1, 1991, December 31, 2022, are retrieved Web Science Core Collection analyzed CiteSpace 6.2.R4 VOSviewer 1.6.19. RESULTS The presented largest annual publications fastest increase last decade compared with other three fields. Meanwhile, China United States two most prominent contributors these four areas. In addition, Gang Wang, Wei Jia, Maria Notarnicola, Cornelia Ulrich ranked first publication numbers, while Jing-Yuan Fang, Senji Hirasawa, Charles Fuchs cited authors average fields, respectively. “Gut microbiota” “epithelial-mesenchymal transition” emerged as newest burst words “gut was latest outburst word “metastasis”, “tumor microenvironment”, “fatty metabolism”, “metabolic reprogramming” up-to-date outbreaking LM, “apoptosis” recently occurring NM. CONCLUSION Research “cellular CRC” all rage at moment, researchers particularly interested exploring mechanism explain metabolic alterations CRC. Targeting vulnerability appears be a promising direction therapy.
