ABSTRACT
The rates of denitrification, dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonia (DNRA) an d anammox were evaluated on a typical lake Pantanal wetlands using the isotope pairing method. Denitrification low at all studied sites, ranging from 3,4 34,5µMN 2 m -2 h -1 . O consumption in sediment two three orders magnitude higher, 2630 3880µMO A parallel incubation showed that as 50% added was reduced N through denitrification and activity negligible. From this result we estimated anaerobic is equal between DNRA processes. Although microorganisms carry out present lake, very low. Both are regulated by concentrations (
