ABSTRACT
Ecological studies of host-parasite interactions are common in rodents. However, despite the widespread occurrence endoparasites those animals, there is a lack information about community structure these parasites. The aims this study were to describe species composition and helminths rodents Oligoryzomys nigripes , Akodon montensis Euryoryzomys russatus (Rodentia, Sigmodontinae), investigate influence host species, age gender on abundance prevalence helminths. pattern metacommunity A. was also analysed. Small mammals captured Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, state Santa Catarina, Brazil. Helminths identified counted. Each had its abundance, intensity estimated for each host. tested using generalized linear models (GLM). analysed by calculating Elements Metacommunity Structure (EEM) infracommunities. In O. nigripes, Guerrerostrongylus zetta Stilestrongylus lanfrediae (Nematoda, Heligmonellidae) found. harboured G. Trichofreitasia lenti Heligmonellidae), Trichuris navonae Trichuridae), Angiostrongylus sp. Angiostrongylidae), Litomosoides chagasfilhoi Onchocercidae) Rodentolepis akodontis (Plathyhelmintes, Cestoda). E. rodent, zetta, rolandoi Raillietina guaricanae Cestoda) This presented new records S. R. L. . helminth random distribution, characterized non-coherent along environmental gradient, indicating different requirements due infection with life cycles.
