ABSTRACT
Although ophiophagy is not a well-known event among neotropical lizards, occasional snake predation events have been reported for some species. For Tropidurus torquatus only one record of on Phalotris matogrossensis currently known. Here we report the second in torquatus, adding new prey item to its known diet, and provide review vertebrate consumed by this enigmatic lizard when compared other species, T. has substantial number records documenting small vertebrates, these are likely result opportunistic events.
