Characteristics Desired in Clinical Data Warehouse for Biomedical Research

Due to the unique characteristics of clinical data, data warehouses (CDWs) have not been successful so far. Specifically, use CDWs for biomedical research has relatively unsuccessful thus The necessary implementation and operation a CDW clearly defined yet.THREE EXAMPLES OF CDWS WERE REVIEWED: multipurpose in hospital, independent multi-institutional research, an institution. After reviewing three examples, we propose some key needed research.A should include honest broker system Institutional Review Board approval interface comply with governmental regulations. It also simple query interface, anonymized review tool, extraction tool. Also, it be platform repository as well analysis.The proposed desired may limited transfer value organizations other countries. However, these analysis results are still valid Korea, developed warehouse based on desiderata.
