ABSTRACT
We report an unusual case of paragonimiasis in a Nepali patient presenting with massive pericardial effusion and tamponade. The reported neither the consumption crabs or crayfish nor wild animal meat, which are usual sources infection. It is suspected that source infection was instead ingestion raw live slugs as part traditional medicine treatment.
