Two Infant Cases Admitted with Atypical Presentation and Diagnosed as Type IV Hiatal Hernia

ABSTRACT
Type IV paraesophageal hiatal hernias are diaphragmatic that extremely rare in the pediatric age group which stomach and other intra-abdominal organs herniate from esophageal hiatus of diaphragm into mediastinum.Since defect is large, serious complications such as gastric volvulus may develop these giant a result passage large part thoracic cavity.Patients present with atypical clinical manifestations growth retardation, not gaining weight, recurrent pulmonary infections.In this report, two cases who were admitted different course diagnosed type hernia successfully treated surgical intervention presented.
