ABSTRACT
Background: During the Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, frequency of doctor visits may decrease in patients with type 2 diabetes, physical activity due to restrictions, and eating habits change.This study aimed examine impact COVID-19 on glycemic control, lipid profile, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, liver kidney functions diabetes. Materials Methods:In this study, biochemical values diabetic admitted internal medicine endocrinology outpatient clinics our hospital between 01/04/2022 01/04/2023 were compared their initial before during pandemic.In addition, anti-diabetic drugs, BMI, after pandemic. Results:The patients' glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels demonstrated a significant increase from both current readings surpassing pandemic (p<0.05).Additionally, glucose also exhibited notable rise contrast pre-pandemic measurements (p<0.05).On other hand, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein BMI for saw relation (p<0.05). Conclusion:This noted decline subsequent deterioration control among diabetes case natural disaster that occur, can be prevented by increasing activities, paying attention diet, providing intensified treatment tele-medicine when necessary.
