SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Intensive Care Unit Healthcare Workers in Turkey: A Tertiary Center Cohort Study

ABSTRACT
Aim: Intensive care unit (ICU) workers have a greater risk of being infected due to procedures requiring intensive contact with the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19 ) patient.We aimed explain how we applied protection healthcare against contagion COVID-19 infection in ICU university hospital. Methods:The study was performed ICUs Goztepe Training Research Hospital 650 beds which affiliated Medeniyet University Istanbul, Turkey.We recorded number patients.We also (doctor, nurse, and others), their working layouts.The frequency severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) investigated.We evaluated precautions for prevention arrangement patients.Results: Between March 17 th 2020 May 26 totaly, total 120 hospitalized patients were treated ICUs.Laboratory confirmed detected only one health-care worker ICUs. Conclusion:Our experience showed that correct proper use personal protective equipment according protocols are effective protecting SARS-CoV-2.
