ABSTRACT
Introduction:Lifestyle modification is the first-line treatment for management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Patient education and use technological tools that will increase compliance exercise program may physical activity in these patients.In this study, we aimed to examine effect pedometer-based walking intervention on clinical, diabetes-related cognitive social factors, quality life outcomes T2DM.Methods: Forty (17 male 23 female) were randomly divided into (n=20; 13 7 control 4 16 groups.Both groups received program, instant messaging calling application used facilitate communication between researchers.The group underwent brisk (40 minute/day 3 times/week) 12 weeks.The included plasma glucose, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), blood lipids, body mass index, International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF), Multidimensional Diabetes Questionnaire, SF-36, daily number steps.Results: The HbA1c level decreased significantly (p=0.020).No statistically significant difference was observed within terms glucose lipid levels (p≥0.05).The IPAQ-SF total scores increased (p<0.001) had better results factors (p<0.001). Conclusion:Diabetes education, mobile phone application, motivational strategies can T2DM.Increased have positive effects glycemic control, selfefficacy, life.
