ABSTRACT
To compare pulse wave analysis (PWA) of obese children with and without metabolic syndrome (MS) healthy, non-obese to evaluate the association between PWA findings additional risk factors present in MS obesity. From patients examined June 2019 2021, 41 MS, 36 34 healthy similar age gender were evaluated retrospectively. Anthropometric measurements, biochemical evaluation, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure (BP) measurement (ABPM), left ventricular mass index (LVMI) measurements compared. When three groups compared, weight standard deviation score (SDS), height SDS body all significantly higher group (p<0.05). The following both non-MS compared control group: from ABPM measures, systolic mean arterial BP SDSs load; PWA, night central BP, 24-hour, day values velocity (PWV) rates; cardiac evaluations, LVMI relative wall thickness (all p<0.05). Furthermore, daytime (cSBP) diastolic (cDBP) different groups, being highest (p<0.05).Obesity causes office, PWV LVMI. However our results suggest that associated do not contribute these parameters, except for cSBP cDBP values.
