ABSTRACT
Various physiological systems and behaviors such as the sleep-wake cycle, vigilance, body temperature, secretion of certain hormones are governed by a 24-hour cycle called circadian system. While there many external stimuli involved regulation rhythm, most powerful environmental stimulus is daily light-dark cycle.Blind individuals with no light perception develop desynchrony. This leads to non-24-hour rhythm disorder, which associated disorders, well mood disorders loss appetite gastrointestinal disturbances due disrupted hormone regulation. As diagnosis often delayed because under-recognition in clinical practice, patients must cope varying degrees social academic dysfunction. Most blind report that disorder affects them more than blindness. In treatment totally suffering from first-line management behavioral approaches.Drug therapy includes melatonin agonist tasimelteon.Diagnosing individuals' sleep also relevant they can be improved use its analogues or phototherapy if have residual vision. Therefore, assessing problems planning accordingly for presenting blindness an important issue ophthalmologists keep mind.
