Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire: Reliability and Validity of a Hindi Adaptation for Patients with Non-inflammatory Neck Pain

Objective:The purpose of the study was to examine psychometric properties Northwick Park Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) by translating it from English Hindi and evaluating its content validity internal consistency aiming feasibility in assessing neck pain.Materials Methods: This cross-sectional included 60 patients who had been experiencing noninflammatory pain for at least 4 months.The properties, test-retest reliability back translated version assessed compared with original version.A panel six experts validated instrument validity.Results: Factor analysis revealed a three-factor structure, which accounted 76.7% variance NPQ.Internal indicated Cronbach's alpha 0.936 testretest using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) 0.935 (95% CI: 0.906 -0.958).Significant correlations were found between individual items NPQ NPQ.Conclusions: The showed good factor structure exhibited similar Original NPQ.Therefore, can be recommended use research India.
