Phonological Make-up of English Loanwords

The present study investigates the route of English words borrowed into Punjabi via Urdu.Differences and similarities between bilingual monolingual speakers have been highlighted to determine borrowing.The is based on two corpora: a corpus 292 loanwords in Punjabi; 421 loans Urdu.Metathesis, aphaeresis, substitution consonants are some adaptation strategies basis which we differentiate output forms speakers.
