ABSTRACT
The principal aim of this study was to identify whether the Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scales (NSNS) could be used on cancer patients.This a descriptive, cross-sectional carried out patients (n = 298).We found that majority were around 50 years old (hospitalized [HP]: 49.5 ± 14.9; chemotherapy outpatients [COP]: 49.4 12.7), female (HP: 74%; COP: 63.5%), and had received education at least up elementary level 70%; 80%). Breast type (>34%) in both groups (HP COP). comparable age, sex distribution, place origin, educational qualification, cancer. Among HP, experience satisfaction scales NSNS showed good internal consistency 235, α >0.9, r > 0.7), while among COP, only scale 62, 1.00). Most patients' perceptions (level satisfaction) hospitalization services positive (98% 97%, respectively).An instrument specifically designed for ambulatory care is necessary it useful assessing perception nursing care. This will help improve quality Mexico.The presence by itself modify level. Further large-scale studies are required investigate using different patient groups.
