ABSTRACT
The present study investigated the length-weight relationships and meat yield of narrow-clawed crayfish, Pontastacus leptodactylus (Eschscholtz, 1823), in Kocahıdır Irrigation Reservoir. Between July 2015 June 2016, a total 653 individuals (255 females 398 males) were sampled, their carapace lengths (CL), (TL), weights (TW) measured. female-to-male ratio for entire population was found to be 0.64:1.00. results showed that CL crayfish ranged between 37 90 mm (39-79 37-90 males), while TW from 10.10 165.61 g (11.13-90.01 10.16-165.61 males). TL female 114.09 mm, with weight 40.43 g, male 116.32 53.45 g. above minimum legal-size limit 100 determined 80.70% Regression analysis indicated TL-TW CL-TW exhibited negative allometric growth, males positive growth terms relationship isometric relationship. Isometric observed whole both characteristics. Female ranging 43-82 had chelae 2.48%, an abdomen 11.38%, 13.85%. Male 35 shear 4.13%, 10.52%, 14.64%.
