ABSTRACT
The phenotype-genotype associations of a panel SNP markers selected from candidate genes related to the growth hormone GH/IGF1endocrine axis and fatty acid synthesis desaturation SCD/SREBP1 pathways, were examined. Phenotypes interest carcass composition, meat quality profiles intramuscular fat in Hereford steers under different feeding treatments during finishing stages. Variables adjusted for effect eight nutritional residual values used association analysis with markers. A total 11 696 genotypes 237 determined using 58 tag-SNP GHR, IGF1, IGFBP6, PMCH, SOCS2, STAT6, SCD1, SCD5, SREBP1, SCAP, INSIG1, INSIG2, MBTPS1, MBTPS2 SRPR genes. polymorphic significantly asso-ciated traits interest: GHR_ rs41639262 on EGSu MARBL; IGF1_ rs136251088 PCC, PCE PISTOLA; PMCH_ rs135033882 OMEGA36; SOCS2_ ss252841026 Terneza2d; STAT6_ rs109171041 rs110097583 INSIG1_ rs109314460 Terneza21d; ss252452220 SCD5_ ss252452202 PUFA rs43687655 SRPR_ rs42178091 GRASAINTR, SFA, MUFA, PISTOLA. Additional studies could validate marker-trait effects that would make it possible use these genetic improve animals regimes.
