ABSTRACT
Mannheimia varigena was identified as the etiologic agent of lameness and coronary band lesion in 30% cattle a farm located Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.Swab samples from lesions were cultured McConkey Agar Blood for microbiological identification.Culture growth submitted to Gram staining Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) identification.Antimicrobial susceptibility test based on disc diffusion performed three antibiotics: ceftiofur, gentamicin florfenicol.Furthermore, molecular characterization 16S rDNA gene sequencing data used phylogenetic analysis. For that purpose, total DNA extracted by thermo extraction directly bacterial colonies polymerase chain reaction (PCR) performed.Gram-negative strain LBV010/22 causative lesions. The susceptible all antibiotics tested. The analysis demonstrated analyzed is closely related M. strains pyelonephritis respiratory tract.Overall, this first report injury bovine. Therefore, our findings show importance an accurate identification infectious cases order prevent occurrence perform appropriate treatment future.
