ABSTRACT
Safety and efficacy of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) guidance in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been consistently shown recent trials. However, prospective data on the clinical effects IVUS usage primary PCI are still warranted. The ULTRA-STEMI trial is a investigator-initiated observational single-center cohort aiming to enroll 80 patients with STEMI. To investigate outcomes STEMI undergoing IVUS-guided correlate derived measurements clinical, procedural, imaging follow-up interest. Study participants will undergo as per standardized procedures. pullbacks be performed pre-intervention, post-lesion preparation, post-intervention post-optimization using 20 MHz digital (Eagle Eye Platinum, Philips). Manual thrombus aspiration cases high burden. aspirated thrombi scanned micro-computed tomography extract volumetric thrombotic Moreover, angiographic, peri-procedural 3-year gathered. Co-primary endpoints cardiovascular mortality target vessel failure, defined composite of: Cardiovascular mortality, myocardial infarction and/or clinically driven revascularization. results study expected by third quarter 2029. add existing literature presenting
