Antibiotic Resistance Gene Expression of Multi-Drug Resistant Gram-Negative Bacteria Isolated in a Military Hospital of Vietnam

Hospital-acquired infection is one of the main causes for prolong treatment and risk death.In this study, nine multidrug resistant strains were isolated from patient's samples.The antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed to confirm strong resistance with β-lactam, carbapenem colistin.The expression genes examined using reverse transcription PCR identify 14 associated drug genotype matched phenotype.Two (blaNDM-1 blaKPC-2) colistin gene (mcr-1.1)were found in indicating a likely shared origin these need understanding processes development, transmission spread.
